A little bit of inspiration: patio chic pt 1
I recently had my garage demolished. It was old, falling apart and taking all the space in our backyard. Now I have a decent space to do a patio. I want a really modern urban garden. Here is some of my inspiration.

A little bit of inspiration: brick backsplash
love the industrial but old look of this kitchen but my main inspiration here is the kitchen backsplash. Love the texture it gives to the wall and the fact that it goes all the way to the ceiling.

Squint
I recently stumble on Decor8 on this great company called Squint. Their upholstery are simply amazing, true work of arts. Love their patchwork of fabric and colors. A true inspiration!
I have a antique Louis XV chaise that needs a little bit of love. The fabric has beens a little bit to much loved by my 2 cats and their claws. I think the patchwork look of Squint could be a great look for my chaise. What do you think?

This wallpaper was created by Selina Rose. She is better known for her felt rugs but I couldn't resist showcasing this fun wallpaper. The gray one would look great in my black and white house.

A little bit of inspiration: wallpaper headboard
As the renovation in my house advance, I am thinking now of decorating my bedroom. This room is just the inspiration I need it. Love the black wallpapered wall with the white trim. I also like the duvet cover. My version of this room would be a little bit more modern with some clear acrylics side tables, modern lamps and a little less pillows. What do you think?

nursery moodboard
Well today is my due date and so far no baby on the way.
We have been working hard on our nursery and it's getting close to completion.
I can't wait to share it with you. Lots of DIY in this room with our very own gulliver crib hack.
I'll post photos as soon as it is done.
For now, I wanted to share with you the mood board of the room. Lots of green, lots of white, lots of silver. There are still some things to figure out, like big sheepskin rug or grey cowhide rug? Tell me what you think?

A little bit of inspiration: feels like spring bedroom
Spring is fast approaching and this room feels fresh and colorful like the upcoming season.
I really like the fact that everything is white, floors, walls and furniture but that it still feels colorful with all the great fabrics. I'm a bit afraid of color myself in my decor so this is a great way to add color without being stuck with forever. I particularly like the window treatment and I think I will used these blind in the nursery. What do you think?

My house is old (85 years old to be exact) and the windows were changed in the 70's. They need to be changed again because they are ugly, rusty and falling apart. So I have been looking at window options. I love the windows in this picture found on Desire to Inspire. They are beautiful ! Wish I could put windows like this in my house.

A little bit of inspiration: books everywhere
Found this great image on Desire to inspire.
In my place and maybe in your, I could always use more space to put more books.
This photo show us a great solution to my eternal dilemma: where to put my books.
The books become a part of room and have an architecture element to them.
Great inspiration!

A little bit of inspiration: wallpaper frames
Frequent readers of this love already know this but I love wallpapers. But with so many choices and the high price of some of wallpapers, wallpapers can be a bit scary. This image by Shanandchi give us a great solution: Wallpaper frames!! Why do we put wallpapers in frames and hang them on our walls. We can go as big as we want and change often the wallpaper when we are tired of the old one. This could be cheaply and easily and give a great look to your interior and it could also be done with fabric. Thanks Shanandchi for the great idea!

A little bit of inspiration: chalkboard painted door by Haust
In my house, we painted one wall of the kitchen with chalkboard paint and we love it. It's just so fun! We write on it the grocery list, the menu for the week, the countdown for the baby's arrival and any inspiring quote we find. But maybe a wall is too much for you, here is a great idea by Haust. Why do you just paint a door? All the fun and maybe less of the stress. What do you think?

This bathroom by Gary Hutton uses rolls of toilet paper as decoration. What a great idea! The rolls of toilet paper form a sort of 3d texture that looks very modern. Plus, now you are sure never to miss any toilet paper!
